After October 13, we’ll check your fundraising total and if you’re still short of the minimum (we know you won’t be!) we’ll charge the balance to your card. You can do it! We know all you need is a little extra time.
Tent Assignments
Once you complete the process through Online Check-In, your tent assignment will be emailed to you on
Thursday, August 11. Please watch for this email and be sure to write your tent assignment on your luggage tag and attach it to your gear bag. If you have not received your tent assignment, you can still drop your gear on Saturday morning, and then stop by the tent assignment table. If you have not identified your tent partner in the
Online Check-In process, you both will need to be present to sign up
for tent assignment line on Saturday morning
Gear assignment is designated by colour this year; so when you pick up your luggage at Camp all you have to do is look for that same colour! Please don’t forget to use your luggage tag and clearly identify your bags.

About Tent Assignments and Gear:
6. Can a Walker and Crew Member share the same tent?
A Walker and Crew Member can share a tent. However, the tent will be in the Crew section, and the Walker should be aware they may be woken up earlier as many of our Crew are up and working before the Walkers wake up. If a Walker and Crew are planning to share a tent, they will both need to go through the Tent assignment process together.
7. What size blow-up mattress will fit in the tent? How big is a tent?
The tents are 2-person, 7x7 ft, and will accommodate a double mattress easily. However, remember if you are sharing with someone you do not know, be considerate of their needs. As well, remember that there are no electrical outlets at Camp, so you will need either a manual pump or good lungs to blow up your mattress! Important: your gear weight limit is 30 lbs, so if your mattress is adding too much weight to your gear bag please leave it at home and bring a lighter foam mattress instead.
8. How do I ensure my tent mate and I have the same tent assignment/ Does my tent mate have to be with me on Saturday to reserve the same tent?
If you have not identified your tent partner in the Online Check-In process, you both will need to present to sign up for tent assignment line on Saturday morning. If you have completed the tent assignment process online, you will receive an email on Thursday, August 11, with your tent asssignment info. Login to your Participant Centre to get started.
9. What if I don’t have a tent partner?
If you don’t have someone to share a tent with, you will be assigned a tent partner of the same gender on Saturday morning.
10. Can I get to the luggage I put at the Gear Drop-Off during the day?
The Gear Drop-Off will be packed up in the morning and go directly to Camp on Saturday and on Sunday, directly to Closing Ceremonies, so you will not be able to access any of the gear you dropped off. It is important to carry with you the necessities that you will need throughout the day, such as an extra pair of socks, sunscreen and your cell phone.
